Throughout the Arabian Peninsula, different kinds of Kabsa are enthusiastically prepared, usually reserved for celebrations, based on rice and some kind of meat or poultry. It is the national dish of both Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Our spice blend inspired by one found generally in Yemen, which derives is pungency from cardamom and cassia, as well as less known spices, like dried lime. Perfect for marinating chicken or in rice, bulgur or quinoa pilafs, this versatile blend can also be used in salads or on vegetable dishes in general.
